BULGARTRANSGAZ EAD LAUNCHES A PROCEDURE FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF TWO COMPRESSOR STATIONS

Today, 25 April 2019 Bulgartransgaz EAD announces an open procedure under the Public Procurement Act entitled “Investment design, procurement of the necessary materials and equipment, construction and commissioning of Stage CS Rasovo and Stage CS Nova Provadia to site Expansion of Bulgartransgaz EAD gas transmission infrastructure parallel to the north (main) gas pipeline to the Bulgarian-Serbian border” under Ref. No. 190-038.

By conducting the procedure, Bulgartransgaz EAD complies with its obligations according to the updated Energy Strategy of the Republic of Bulgaria, under the new Section VII "Ensuring security of supplies, providing a liquid and competitive natural gas market and gas infrastructure development".

The implementation of the procurement aims at enhancing the security of gas supplies to the country and the South-East Europe region and strengthening the role of the of Bulgaria as a transit centre in the European Union.

Main activities included in the public procurement envisage the preparation of an investment design, procurement of materials and equipment and construction and installation works.

3 gas turbine compressor units (GTCUs) in configuration 2 in operation and one stand-by mode with a nominal capacity of 12 MW each will be installed at CS Rasovo.

4 gas turbine GTCUs in configuration 3 in operation and one stand-by mode with a nominal capacity of 10 MW each will be installed at CS Nova Provadia.

In order to connect the new compressor stations with Bulgartransgaz EAD gas transmission network entry and exit gas gatherings and fibre optic cable line will be designed and built, and to connect them with the technical infrastructure networks - roads, power supply, water and sewerage will be designed and built as well.

The estimated value of the public procurement totals to BGN 351 635 657.46 VAT excluded (three hundred and fifty-one million six hundred thirty-five thousand six hundred fifty-seven point forty-six).

The most economically advantageous offer will be determined based on the selected award criterion “optimal correlation quality/price" according to objective indicators, including execution deadlines, indicator related to the gas turbine engine operation, price parameters and rate of cost increase related to the deferred payment.

The deadline for submission of offers for participation in the open procedure is by 10 June 2019.
