Pursuant to the requirements of Art. 26 of Regulation (EU) 2017/459 establishing a network code on capacity allocation mechanisms in gas transmission systems (CAM NC), Bulgartransgaz EAD, in cooperation with the neighbouring transmission system operators, launches a process of demand assessment for incremental capacity at its interconnection points. The information received will serve to assess market participants' interest in the transmission of additional natural gas quantities through Bulgartransgaz EAD’s infrastructure.

According to the Regulation, the process takes place at least every odd-numbered year, immediately after the start of the annual yearly capacity auction. In compliance with the Regulation and according to ENTSOG auction calendar, this year the annual capacity auction shall be held on July 7, 2025. Current and potential users of the gas transmission network have the opportunity to submit non-binding demand indications for incremental capacity at the relevant interconnection points by 1 September 2025 (within 8 weeks from the start of the auction).

In order to ensure maximum convenience for the parties participating in the process and to collect objective information from the widest possible range of market participants, Bulgartransgaz EAD will not apply a fee for assessment and processing of non-binding demand indications.

The forms for submission of non-binding demand indications should be sent to: info@bulgartransgaz.bg.

In accordance with the applicable provisions of the Regulation, by 27 October 2025 transmission system operators will publish joint market demand assessment reports for the relevant interconnection points (within 16 weeks of the start of the annual auction for yearly capacity).
